First Time Investor Program

Are you interested in learning how to use the stock market? The First Time Investor Program, offered by Signature Bank, will teach you what you need to know about stocks, bonds, and investments. Qualified participants will also receive a matching $750 grant from signature bank (details below).
In order to participate, please fill out the form here and send it to mgillen@services.queensny.org. Please note that the form requires some paperwork: a recent tax form (such as a W-2) and a bank statement. For more details, download the form.
In order to qualify for the $750 matching grant you must:
- Have an annual gross income of less than $55,000
- Invest $750 of your own money into the program
- Attend the classes: missing two or more classes may result in forfeiture of participation and the matching grant. Excused absences will be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
This class runs for nine sessions, starting on March 15th and taking place each Tuesday until May 10th.
