By the end of the class\, you will be taking charge of your financial systems. \nThe class schedule is the following: \nClass Dates: September 26\, 2023 – October 19\, 2023 @ 6 pm – 8pm \nLesson 1: September 26\, 2023 – Introduction & Being a Small Business Owner\nLesson 2: September 28\, 2023 – Income Statements\nLesson 3: October 3\, 2023 – Balance Sheets\nLesson 4: October 5\, 2023 – Cash Flow Statements\nLesson 5: October 10\, 2023 – Ratio Analysis – Income Statement Metrics\nLesson 6: October 12\, 2023 – Ratio Analysis – Balance Sheet Metrics\nLesson 7: October 17\, 2023 – Business Model Construction\nLesson 8: October 19\, 2023 – Business Model Forecast \nRemember all classes in this series are free\, so there is no reason not to take them. \n \nInstructor: \nAndrew Carroll has over 20 years of experience with a unique blend of accounting\, entrepreneurship\, and as a CFO & advisor to both start-ups and the small business sector. He now spends most of his time building companies or advising high-net-worth individuals on their tax and investment strategies \nAndrew started the first decade of his career working in a tax and financial planning firm. After helping grow that firm\, he left to start his first business\, CFOAndrew\, a new way for small business owners to work with an accounting professional.\nOver the years\, Andrew has expanded his knowledge base by advising hundreds of businesses\, helping build dozens of companies\, and covering various finance\, investment\, tax\, and accounting areas. \nDuring this time\, Andrew came to realize that financial services\, in particular taxes and accounting for small businesses owners\, is fundamentally broken. That realization led Andrew\, along with his Co-Founder Lincoln Crichlow\, to develop Luci. \nLuci and Andrew Carroll’s goal in the course will be to help business owners understand common terms\, concepts\, and best practices as it relates to the accounting of their business. From there\, we’ll work on the most important tool that a business needs: a business financial model. We’ll walk through each step of the process so that\, at the end\, business owners will have a dynamic business tool that they can use to model business decisions\, understand their business and gauge its health. \nPrice: Free! There will be no cost to this program. \nIf you complete all nine sessions in this class\, you will receive a certificate of completion.

The 2023 return is expected to attract more than 500 attendees with 30 restaurants and beverage purveyors\, who will offer samples of their products. Thus\, attendees will be able to bounce from table to table\, tasting treats from tangy to fiery\, crunchy to velvety\, and sweet to briny. \nRegistration is still open but already matriculated restaurants offer Asian\, Brazilian\, Caribbean\, Colombian\, Filipino\, French\, Italian\, Kosher\, Malaysian\, Mexican\, and Singaporean cuisine. Local breweries\, coffee crafters\, and alcoholic-drink vendors are expected\, too\, along with cupcake designers\, chocolate makers\, and artisan bakers. \nQueens Taste is also a celebration of the borough — and a great way to network. Almost all the anticipated 500 attendees either live in Queens or do business there. Many are executives and captains of industry. Plus\, the Afro-Latineers Band plays fun music\, and the atmosphere is always festive\, almost giddy\, creating an ideal scene for meeting and greeting.
